Sustainable Futures

About
Sustainable Futures is a recently founded MICDS community service club that focuses on the key environmental issues our world is facing currently. Although the club focuses on learning and spreading awareness about these vital environmental issues, this club is an outreach club and tries to help the environment hands-on.

Activities

The club will pair up with multiple other clubs to try to help spread awareness to the MICDS community and the outside community as a whole. Throughout the club's meetings, we will organize service projects, watch documentaries, write articles that would be published in the MICDS newspaper, and even club participants will help be apart of the club's monthly podcast.  Service projects will be held mainly outside of school and outside of school hours. Some activities throughout this year will be focused on meeting with younger students on the MICDS campus to spread awareness because they are the upcoming generation that will be responsible for maintaining our Earth's environment.

Something to Remember

The truth is our world is taking a turn for disaster (environmentally). Scientists are researching how to adapt (not fix) environmental disasters that were caused by humans. All the little things we do wrong now will all add up and will eventually destroy the Earth as we know it today. It is vital that we care for our Earth and preserve all its wonders and beauties. We can only do that if everyone takes a step together to a more sustainable future. Join today, to be apart of the fixing and healing of our Earth.
