STEMco hosted their first official event on October 20th, 2020 during Activities Period! Before the official Showcase, leaders of all STEM teams, clubs, and activities, compiled interactive videos where they physically showed what they do on a typical meeting: science competition teams like TEAMS and Rampunzel recorded live/recreated engineering challenges and competition scenarios. After synthesizing all of the videos and information onto a flyer, it was shared out with everyone (see below for flyer). During the STEM Showcase event, students had the chance to enter Zoom sessions, ask the coheads and sponsors questions, and join the activities that interested them. With this, students were able to both connect and “shadow” more STEM activities, which in turn sparked their interests and many activities saw a surge in new members!
